Home to Ken's Diner & Malibu Pizza

No one could have guessed back in 1976 that Ken’s Diner would have ended up as one of the oldest and most respected kosher restaurants in the world. What started out as a dream ended up an eatery for religious Jews that mirrored the image and quality of the most popular hangouts in Chicago.
Hot dogs, Big boy steaks, Char-chicken sandwiches, Pareve milk shakes and soups are all part of this well-rounded 50”s style atmosphere. What makes Ken’s stand far apart from the rest is the overwhelming success of the “Burger buddy” or as some call it the “Buddy Burger”. A half pound burger on a toasted sesame seed bun lavishly dressed with shredded lettuce, home grown tomatoes, grilled onions, ketchup, pickles, B.B.Q sauce and Ken’s own special topping.
Ken’s Diner attributes their success two main principles. First, is making all of their food homemade. The second principle is “Cleanliness is next to kenliness.” In the 27 years that Ken’s Diner has been in Skokie, Illinois he has gone through several overhauls. Ken feels if he gets bored with the restaurant, so will you. |
